Le Ngoc Tuong weaves a contrasting still life of simplicity and elegance. The earthenware pottery and bamboo chair are common household items of rural areas. However, the rich fabric, ornate pot and glassware are of Chinese culture. He make a statement about the heritage of Chinese Imperialism within Vietnam's history.

Artist: Le Ngoc Tuong

Le Ngoc Tuong was born in 1970 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He graduated from Fine Arts Industrial University in Hue in 1998, and is a professor at Fine Arts Industrial University in Hue. Mr. Tuong has had solo exhibitions at the Fine Art Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (2002), and participated in several group exhibitions as in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US. He won first prize in the "Co Do" competition.
