This painting depicts the beautiful mountain of Cotopaxi, overlooking a small village . In the painting, Cesar attempts to break down the geological boundaries from all regions of Ecuador, by placing mountains, city and coast (represented by a Picudo fish) together in a town square. As the name implies, Cesar hopes the viewer will be able to catch a smell of the fresh mountain air just by looking at his work.
