No Food for the Lazy Man

list price: $165 | Discount: 0% | Views: 1120

This painting illustrates a faceless African man hard at work, pulling a full load. As the colors fade from red to yellow, we are taught that seriousness and hard work lead to riches, and by remaining focused and ignoring the whisperings of the masses, hard work will ultimately lend to wealth and prosperity for one's family. The three unique symbols that flow throughout this painting are God (right) - whom Sam believes provides opportunities for all; divine (center) - representing the reception of guidance in one's trade; and peace (left) - which Sam believes will ultimately come about through hard work and ignoring the pessimism from those around him.
