Mother and Child-

list price: $165 | Discount: 0% | Views: 1595

In this simple image of a mother feeding her child, Sam represents the much larger act of motherhood. The spirals surrounding the mother symbolize the cyclical nature of life, emphasizing the certitude that the baby will soon grow up into an adult themselves. The faceless women is a tribute to African women everywhere in their daily struggle to feed and support their families; from carrying water atop their heads to slapping laundry against river rocks, Sam means to thank women everywhere for their spirit of determination, hard work, and perseverance.
