This painting depicts three women with babies on their back going to the market in Anloga, Ghana. On their head they are carrying a callanash pot. Traditionally callabash pots are used for carrying water but in this case they carry palm wine, called blokutu, to the market to be sold. The painting pays homage to the every day tasks mothers often do to sustain their families.
